In 1993, the Berlant Moki was purchased from Berlant by John Gross, of Winslow, Arizona. In 1997, Joshua Baer & Company purchased the Moki serape from John Gross, on behalf of the current owner. The Moki has been in the same private collection since 1997.
The red yarns are raveled bayeta piece-dyed with cochineal.
The salmon-color / pale orange yarns are raveled American Flannel piece-dyed with synthetic dyes.
The green yarns are handspun Merino fleece dyed in the yarn with indigo.
The blue yarns are handspun Merino fleece dyed in the yarn with indigo.
The brown yarns are undyed handspun Merino fleece.
The white yarns are un-dyed Merino fleece.
