The second phase measures 59 inches wide by 41 inches long, as woven.
Ex- Stephen Loeb, New Orleans.
Purchased in 2007 by Ray Trotter from Joshua Baer & Company, Santa Fe, on behalf of the current owners.
The red yarns are raveled bayeta piece-dyed with cochineal.
The blue yarns are handspun Churro fleece dyed in the yarn with indigo.
The brown yarns are undyed handspun Churro fleece.
The white yarns are un-dyed handspun Churro fleece.
The side selvages are un-dyed white three-ply Churro fleece, plied by the weaver. The only other classic chief’s blanket with un-dyed three-ply white selvages is the Chantland First Phase.
